Question 1

When will my kit arrive?

Accepted Answer

Shipping is free to the 48 contiguous states and the kit arrives in 2–5 business days. Alaska, Hawaii and US territories also ship free and take 5–10 business days. You get a tracking number by email as soon as it ships.

Question 2

What if I change my mind?

Accepted Answer

Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we refund your subscription in full. Send the device back — it's the only piece we need — and we email you a prepaid return label, so returning it costs you nothing. The rest of the kit is yours to keep, and on the monthly plan the one-time $50 kit charge is what pays for those accessories, so it isn't refunded. Your refund lands on the original payment method within 5–10 business days of the device reaching us.

Question 3

Does this work for Uber and Lyft drivers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. DashMateAI is built specifically for Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare drivers. You can track your driving whether you're on one platform or several.

Question 4

Do I need to keep the app open?

Accepted Answer

No. The DashMateAI OBD-II device records in the background — a trip starts when the car starts and saves when it stops. There is nothing to press. Open the app when you want to tag a trip or check your numbers.

Question 5

Can it track miles while I am waiting for rides?

Accepted Answer

Yes. DashMateAI can help track online driving miles, pickup miles, customer-trip miles, and repositioning miles while you're working — the miles many drivers forget to count.

Question 6

Can I choose mileage or actual expense tracking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can organize records for the standard mileage method, the actual expense method, or compare both — then review the numbers with a tax professional.

Question 7

Is this tax advice?

Accepted Answer

No. DashMateAI is not a tax advisor. Mileage and expense records are for organization and estimation only. Consult a tax professional for filing decisions.

Question 8

Can it help if my car is stolen?

Accepted Answer

DashMateAI keeps vehicle location and trip history that can provide support if your car is stolen. It's added peace of mind for new and experienced drivers.

Question 9

Is my car compatible with DashMateAI?

Accepted Answer

Almost certainly. DashMateAI uses the standard OBD-II port, required on every car, truck and van sold in the US since 1996 — it sits under the dash, just below the steering wheel. It works with gas, diesel and hybrid vehicles. Fully electric cars have the port but do not report fuel burn, so fuel-cost tracking does not apply to them.
